CPA Offer Promotion – Keyword Selection
Today I’ve completed my extensive keyword research. I mostly used Google Keyword Tool for that, starting from a small list of keywords related to my offer, and expanding on that.
I’ve got total of 308 keywords. Not mentioning of over 1100 keywords that I’ve got from Keyword Elite. For search network the keyword net is pretty limited, but I’m expecting to get most of my leads from content network, that I’ll set-up after making search live.
Despite having 308 keywords in my active portfolio, I’ve picked 170 of the most targeted keywords that will be my initial test campaign. I think 1 kw per adgroup will do well, as I really feel a bit lazy for sorting them manually into tight adgroups.
The only thing that makes me sad is that I’m still waiting reply from Neverblue where my offer payout is 32$. And they allow google tracking code on the offer page, which is great for tracking content network campaigns. If they don’t accept me, it will be really bad ( And I’ll have to sign-up to another CPA network without guarantees of placing my google tracking code.
Do you happen to know software that allows leads/sales tracking on the content network?
I’ve calculated that if my initial bid will be 1$, I need 3.13% conversion rate and 32 clicks to break even. If my lander will be OK with this offer, I hope for better conversion rates. The nature of the keywords is also important, so now I care about keyword relevancy more than it’s traffic volume.
Tomorrow I hope to buy a domain name for my landing page and start working on that – I plan to make this landing page with dynamic keyword insertion for better relevancy.
