GC Keyword Research Case Study
I put to test Google Cash style of keyword research and I’ve decided to choose a random product from Clickbank for this purpose, which is GuyGetsGirl.
The gravity of GuyGetsGirl is 67.93, 85% of sales are referred by affiliates, and the payout is 39.79$ – not bad, as I’m going to pay for traffic and high payout is quite important (I’ll explain this in my future posts).
Great, let’s get to our 1st stage of keyword research:
Next, I go to product page and start brainstorming keywords while reading sales copy. I write down every possible idea that comes to my mind, and sometimes you can find real golden nuggets here
You see, this list is broad enough, no digging into variations of the same root keyword.
I also go to Amazon and see which books are offered that relate to my product. I found several gyudes and analysed it’s table of contants and come up with extra keywords. I also written down all author names and books names.
And here’s our last step of keyword research – this time I’m going to use “website content” feature of Google Keyword Tool – although I’ve come up with different outside the box keywords related to the product, let’s give Google a chance to show what he thinks relates to our product site )
Oops! I forgot to spy on my competition using Google Cash Detective
Let’s see if we can find any good keywords?
Uff, I’m really tired to do this Google Cash keyword research, still donna how many I’ve collected, but seems like I’ve got several hundreds of keywords.
Next step is to delete all duplicates, sort them and pick the keywords for my initial test campaign, based on relevance and search volume.
But that’s all for tomorrow, time to sleep
