Yes, this is what I have in CB now.
Within several days, I’ll try to improve this and have some more sales showing up.
Watch my progress towards $10000 monthly online income
Hey!
I’m sorry for not posting more frequently now due to some heavy offline activity that eats tons of my time. In Oct, I hardly ever touched my online business, to be frank.
The situation was not the best for some of my top money-maker sites, as they suddenly lost top 3-5 positions and stayed under 100+ for some pretty long time, causing a drop in my overall income.
However, I managed to get back the top posisions for a couple of my sites, and during the last week of October sales started to come in bunches.
Anyway, that was too late to beat my Sept. income, so:
October Income – 3193.97$
The biggest success of the month was Adsense, the monthly income keeps growing steadily moneth after month, and in October I made 103.56$ from pure Adsense. THe good thing – I did absolutely NOTHING to my adsense sites at all =) I mean, no baclinking, no adding content, just checking my adsense account daily. HINT: check your adsense account daily and adsense will grow )))
OK dear readers, I’m still extremely busy ofline, as my mom is still taking her cure in hospital, so I’m responsible for ALL the housekeeping myself, that involves cooking, cleaning, dish washing, ironing, shopping, plus I also did a serious repair of the window in the mom’s room, that wasn’t repaired since 1881 (when our house was built). It was a really hard work.
I’m extremely exhausted now, and I’m slowly getting back to online work. I bought 4 new domains and created content for 3 of them, backlinking is still so hard for me, I’m seriously considering hiring a full time VA for my backlinking stuff. Otherwise, cannot just spread myself too thin over all this stuff. I tend to drink more and more beer and congiac to get relaxed.
And 1 year later – red cat living in hospital IS BACK!!!
P.S. I’m not giving up and have some stuf in my mind, it just involves a lot of grunt work that is not interesting to write here about, so in case I’ll manage to hire a VA, I can devote more time to researches and experiments. So far, I’m still gaining momentum for the income jump.
Stay tuned!
Hello mates!
This will be a quick stuf I’ve decided to share with you, since I personally find it very useful and use it all the time.
Sometimes we surf the net, analyse the different affiliate sites and quite often we may stumble upon a pertty and very interesting worpdress theme that we never seen before, and would definitely like to have in our portfolio.
First option would be definitely looking at the footer, as lots of theme creators share the their theme name as well as their site where we can get/buy this theme. Something’s like “powered by WOOTHemes”, or ‘Thesis” or similar and may of these themes are also free at wordpress.org.
However, quite often I face amazing themes that I’d like to have, and I saw no indication of what’s the theme exactly is being used on the site?
Let’s take a look at these sites for example:
http://flex-belt.org/
http://vincedelmontescam.org/ – just found this blog, no theme indication at all.
I’ve lookied at this vincedelmontescam site and desided that this theme is great for male audience. But how do I can get it? I need to know it’s name anyway. IT’s not complicated - I just go to source code and then hit “ctrl+F” and type in themes. That’s is:
Done. The theme is called Heatmap Adsense Theme. Now, if I’m serious about getting it, I simply google it’s name and search for it.
As we can see, this theme is available for free. Grab and use!
This is exact wat how I gathered a fine collection of over 100 amazing wordpress themes in my portfolio, that I curently use on my sites.
My local SEO site was a top money-maker until recently, due to a range of factors such as goof offline marketing of the product, and my top 3 positions for all 3 related keywords in google.co.uk and google.com.
Several days ago I’ve noticed sudden drop in sales, I’ve made 2-5 sales a day and then nothing. I’ve checked my positions and found that my site was dropped from google and bing. Yahoo positions also dropped. It looked pretty strange, since I’ve diversified my linking strategy and never sendbad links to this site. Anyway, today I’ve tired of waiting for the magic and decided to check how many backlinks my site got.
When I typed in my URL to run SEOQuake on it, what I saw was some error messages. I couldn;t even access the site! That looked like a hack.
First thing is to contact hosing support, so I did this, and it appeared that they recently moved to the new server and some of my site’s folders failed to transfer properly. This resulted in what I’m left now – lost 30-50$ in daily commissions for 5-6 days straight. Cool!
If I haven’t diversified my business across many sites, many offers and several hostings (!) I’d be in the same situation like in December 2009, when I lost my adwords acc and 95% of all my traffic with it.
We never know what happens next, another google’s panic attack, hosting crash, offer cancellation, adsense ban – this is all the nature of online business. Don’t put all eggs into 1 basket – diversify!
I’ll try to be quick here, since today I’ve decided to take some break from the online work, so I just calculated my incomes.
Contrary to my expectations that were pretty pessimistic, here’s what I managed to earn in September:
September 2010 – 4017,77$
A bit lower than in August, and I still wonder why, as usually September is more active month, but anyway, I’m glad that hard work paid off.
One of my sites that was in top 3 and didn’t make any sales, finally started to take off as soon as I changed places of my 2 posts. My top post was a presell story, from the person sharing experience about problem and product, and it has some links to the merchant site, then was the previous post with a detailed product review, that concentrated on the product itself, and had many call to action links to the merchant site.
Version with product review generated 579, 49$ while the previous “presell” post generated 0$
It’s wise to have 2 variants of the presell and split-test to see which one works better.
Here’s some interesting situation that I’ve noticed. Last month was the best in terms of income from the single offer:
The conversion rate is low – 0,84%. However in September the same site generated income from related offers, not the actual searched for by it’s visitors. The traffic started to decrease, however :
Teh conversion rate was higher – over 1% in this case. It’s pretty interesting, I expected the opposite situation and thought that the site is no longer a money-maker.
I was so excited about competition research, that I barely got any attention to the most priority step – traffic research! I mean, does the keyword I’m chasing have any traffic? Remember my previous post with many sites in top 3? If all of them were getting traffic, I’d be making 5000-7000$ in the worst scenario.
Simple, but this is the only reason why I’m still not making 5000$ or more!
I’ve just did some research and discovered several keywords with over 10000 exact searches per month, where top 10 competitors are even weaker than with my previous keywords.
Stupid Grand. If I’ll not be making more in the future, I’m not for this business. So, now I keep working hard, analysing the business, where I failed, where I succeeded, and what should I do next.
Since I’ve been consistently making over 3000$ per month and my net is over 3000$ a month after expenses, I’ve decided to update my goal and push the biz towards the new height – 5000$ monthly! A bit conservative, but I’ll probably explain why in the future posts.
Stay tuned!
I’ve completed my strategy of creating CPA offer oriented sites. As I wrote in my last posts, I will end up with this strategy and will complete my 2 last sites and then stop doing this way of CPA. offer promotion, replacing it with another model that will not require creating websites.
After analysis of this model, I understood that it’s not stable income source, and it takes time to get site ranked, but once the offer is gone, the traffic diminishes and ther’s no point in this site, except for maybe backlinking other properties.
I’ve done some backlinking, a couple of UAW submissions with links to my 2 last CPA sites, that resulted in no obvious SERP movements. Then I added some profile links, and now I did some Magic Submitter un plus included several high PR authority sites where I created blog posts or profiles.
Last site was launched and indexed 6 days ago, today it’s already ranking #6 for my main keyword, across Google and Yahoo. I even didn’t place aff links, as I haven’t expected so fast rankings. And this is not exact keyword in domain, that all was taken before I entered the niche.
For other keyword, I’m now dominating #1, #3 and #5 positions, with 2 different sites and Ezinearticles article. Leads are coming in daily, that’s good since my #1 spot was gone and my highest position was #5 for this keyword.
Now my main goal is researching more SEO strategies, and also replacing my CPA sites strategy with some more stable and consistent and traffic getting strategies.
I’m seriously considering Clickbank as my next big thing, I’d be happy to make 50-100$ a day with Clickbank, so I need to think how this can be achieved with my current situation and resources.
Hi readers of this blog!
It’s deep night now and I’ve completed all my tasks, but still have some energy & time so I’ve deicded to share one of my methods for getting MORE high-PR links off already existing links
The strategy is really simple, since I’m too lazy to work much and I love to create routines that I can completely outsource, so instead of finding for backlink sources, I will use my own forum profile links.
Here we can pick any forum profile link from the list. I’m using the hige list of my profiles from the recent SENuke blast. Sorry I have to cover links for privacy purposes, hope you understand.
Let’s suppose I’ve picked the forum called civicrm.org and I’m pasting link into the browser.
I just want to see the PR of the picked forum. Typically all profile links come from forums of PR4 or higher. Let’s take a look this forum’s PR. As we can see, http://forum.civicrm.org/ has PR6.
Why this may be important? Generally, the higher home page’s PR, the higher are cances that some inner pages also may have some PR, or may not… More, higher PR sites typically get visited by spiders more often, according to SEO experts, that’s good also.
Here’s where I have to switch my brains on and think, why the hell I’m doing this for.
My goal – use my forum profile link (signature) to get more high PR links from this forum. Where I can leave links? By means of posting to threads on this forum.
So, I need to find as many threads pages as possible in google’s index, determine threads pages with high PR and leave my post on these pages
Simple.
In order to find threads pages, I need to see how thread page of this exact forum looks like, it’s so called “footprint”.
I go to forum and click any thread, doesn’t matter. I clicked the first thread I found.
As we can see, the URL string of this thread is: http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,15791.0.html
Again, I’m looking for thread pages within my forum, so I’ll be using these 2 search operators in google:
site:http://forum.civicrm.org inurl:index.php/topic
Easy.
Now I turn on SEO Quake plugin, and enter my search string into google:
Google indexed 29600 thread pages I can potentially post on, with my signature links
But I don’t need so much, I just want to find threads with PR, so let’s now click this magic “Request parameters” button in SEO Quake and get thread pages that managed to get PR somehow… Look here:
Now you can see, we just found 2 thread pages that have PR 2 and PR3, not bad, imagine how many other thread pages may also have some PR.
Let’s check it, indeed PR3.
…Or move on to your next forum, repeat until your site is beating them all, poor competitors
A-ha-ha!
Cons first:
1. Sometimes you may find that PR thread page is already filled with posts and you can only post on the next pages, that don’t necessary have PR.
2. You need to pretend authority in this topic, or at least not a “passer-by” person that posts for the sake of sig links. In this case, other members may let moders know and your profile may get banned. For example, I really don’t get the topic of this thread I found, gateway API? LinkPoint? CivCRM’s CiviDonate module? what the hell you’re smoking guyes? <–don’t ask them this question
Pros:
1. If I post to the forum, I increase the chance of my profile indexing, sometimes I can have more links inside my profile (in the about me section )
2. I get direct dofollow backlinks to my sites from PR pages
3. With a list of forum profile links, I can potentially get large amount of backlinks… Imagine scanning through 10 forums, 20 forums, 100 forums…
4. This routine can be COMPLETELY outsourced. Just show this post to your VA, give ‘em a list of forum profiles and enjoy
Hello!
Over the last serveral days I’ve faced some dark sides of what’s I’ve been doing lately, and how this turned to decrease in my earnings, as a net result of wrong strategies I’ve been pursuing.
Well, despite a couple of sites, my rankings are good, but earnings.. I’ll be happy to beat 2000$ in September, considering this is not a summer and online activity should be pretty good now. I’ve done some preliminary calculations of September incomes, and this is how this post was born.
That’s what I’ve been doing lately, and concentrated all my efforts on exploring the SEO for high rankings. I’ve built a handful of sites, some are just 4-5 months old, others are 2-3 weeks old, and ranking OK.
This one is around 5 months old, made me a whopping 50$ in September! (wow)
This was also launched 5 months ago, was #1 and making 1-3 sales a day, was a good converter, nneds my quick bump now…
This is kinda “authority”, I wrote about it in my case studeis, mostly worked on the highest traffic main keyword, the rest is abandoned.
Another site launched in May, I tried many backlinking strategies on it, this was very competitive keyword.
Local SE site, uk is most important here, this baby rocks now. Started in late June or July, I wrote about it. All 3 keywords are targeted.
Well, I got to this baby in July, didn’tr really spend much time doing promotions, most was outsourced. 1st keyword is targeted, the rest is just long tails to see where the sites ranks.
CPA buddy, launched in august, 1st keyword is targete, 2nd is longer tail version.
Another CPA buddy, launched 2 weeks ago.. Exact keyword in domain in this case, weak competition on-page made me to top 3 fast.
Ok, these are some of my sites, not all of them definitely, but how do you think, having a bunch of sites in top 3 is great? THe ability to rank high is not a guarantee for a fat checks. With several of these sites, I only concentrated on beating my competition and was too obessed by the “SEO heaven”, and now I’ll reveal something:
Now I can say this is NOT a great strategy, so I wanted to share my mistakes.
First of all, the ability to rank high is not a guarantee of money – there are so many factors involved here.
I was concentrating on the most (likely) converting keywords, and didn’t actually checked the search volume! I thought – this keyword converted in my PPC campaign, this will make me money. The conversion rates indeed can be high, but who told that the traffic is really good? I’ve got a site in position #2 and I found it only gets 10-15 visits a day, while the offer was really hot, both offline and online.
There’s a difference between converting keyword and converting keyword that gets hundreds of visits a day. Keyword research is CRITICAL, my mistake was concentrating on ranking strategies, I forgot about HOW MUCH TRAFFIC I get. It’s clear that my above sites are taking more traffic than 90% of my competition, but.. where;s the huge money? =)
I was targeting limited # of keywords. It’s definitely a way to rank high faster than in case of bigger site, again, the traffic will be limited by the amount of keywords and long tail variations that bring traffic. Most of the keywords above are pretty tough, with many marketers agressively optimizing their sites and rushing to win top 10, but the reward is not guaranteed.
I was targeting CPA offers with offer related keywords. HUGE mistake, period. CPA offers, especially trials and similar, can die ANY TIME. This happened with several offers in this month, and this is the reason why my income dropped! Offer goes – your links are redirected to another related offer. Conversion rates also may drop, but … I haven’t seen CPA offers that were consistently popular over a long time. the lifetime span is not prolonged. The model of promoting rebills is slowly duying, as more and more people get scammed… Not consistent income stream. I discovered an offer with great popularity, and rising search trend in google insights. In 3 weeks my site achieved #2 spot (still there), the very next day I got my #2 spot, the offer suddenly gone from ALL CPA networks. I managed to get only 1 lead of 40$, and nothing more.
Ignoring tons of long-tails that get traffic and have low competition… The model of targeting competitive terms that are proven money-makers (not always
) is like a race – everybody’s climbing the same hill. You stop – your site may get outranked because someone else is more hard-working, or has more backlinking resources, or a team of 10 people working for him… It’s definitely not the only successful strategy of SEO affiliate biz, there are tons of many ways, that just require more time to see $$$.
This strategy of targeting several keywords is scalable, but more sites needed to scale incomes. Imagine having 10-15 or more sites each requiring it’s own SEO, time and money investment. And definitely not all of these sites will be successfukl, even in top 10. Imagine having 100 adsense minis, and bum – adsense account is banned, or mini-sites are no longer in google’s favour…
That’s why I’m again thinking over this, while having no money at all, being too lazy to perform tedious routines and unable to outsource them… And CPA offers are gone, and my site is still under filter…Still making money every day, and sometimes over 100$ a day, but – now you can see what may happen.
Hi mates!
I wasn’t able to get to the blog lately, due to tons of work that I planned for this month. After quick revision, I splitted all my current tasks into several blocks, adsense being one of them.
When I started building adsense sites in Feb or March, I made initial keyword research and competition analysis for 5 sites first. Then, as my writer was ill for 2 month, these 5 sites were postponed for future. I created another 12 sites and theay are live now, one of them makes 50% of my adsense income, 1 to 3$ a day typically.
As writer finished the content for 5 sites, I planned to get to them, but then the summer came and I forgot. Now decided to complete my 5 sites, and I’ve been doing it yesterday and today.
It took me time to host my domains, install wordpress on all 5, then write meta data for all articles and for blogs home pages, install themes, plugins, and finally add posts and pages and publish it and index them.
OK, I completed my first 2 sites late this night. Now as I applied my own rapid indexing tactic, I checked my first 2 sites and they were indexed by google in the morning already. So I kept working with the other 3 sites, now applying rapid indexing to the last in this batch.
But my last step in this while process is adding sites to Rank Checker, to track how it goes. I just wanted them all to get a bit mature, and then add some links if needed. Now I added my first 2 indexed sites, and got pretty shocking results
One is ranking #33 for targeted keyword, but another one is ranking #16 – after just several hours of going live.
That’s cool, I was sure my sites’d be indexed in hours, but I haven’t expexted pretty high rankings in several hours.
OK, why I bothered with writing all this ) Let’s take a look at my actual spreadsheet of keyword competition, as showed by Micro Niche Finder data:
As we can see, the competition differs significantly. If the 1st keyword barely has competition, according to google, then second, which I’m taking #16 now, is much more competitive.Would you take this keyword, if you found it?
All I can say, the google ranking algorythm is so complicated, that it’s not worth taking advices to belief. Noone knows how it works, except people who developed this algorythm
Other news as not so great now. My payment processor company still sorts out the Visa suspension, so I’m still without any money. I’ve got 1$ now on my credit card, to be frank. I hope I can reactivate domains that are about to expire now, as soon as I get money.
CPA sites – don’t make this model a cornerstone of your SEO business. Why I think so? Well, 2 offers died in this month, the traffic significantly decreased so my 1000$ from 1 site in August slowly turns into 460$ (as of now) thanks to redirection to related offer. Other offer I had on Neverblue, died the next day as my 3 weeks old site finally reached position #3. I only made 1 lead of 40$ and that’s it.
Now I got fresh site to #2 position in 2 weeks, but – traffic appeared to be very low, and I don’t see any conversions yet. 3 days ado I launched another CPA site, and I also got 1 site being on the way now. But this is my last site for pure CPA I launch.
I’m going to concentrate on more stable offers now.
Algorythm changes? – seems that google dances are now spreading wide… 50% of my sites are bouncing like crazy, flying down into 100+ positions, then get back to top 3 with tag page, then flying again… I see same story from other marketers as well, does this happen to you? Nothing to worry about, except that we’re losing traffic and sales while our sites are “in the hole”.
Forum Profiles indexing – I analysed the backlinks of my first CPA site, that made me some nice money. What I found shocked me – of over 1000s of backlinks I sent to it, only 240 or so are indexed in Yahoo. That interested me even more, since I was going to start working on profile links indexing long ago! I checked my recent profile submissions in Scrabebox index checker, and found that not all profile links are indexed, only 1-2 of 20-30 I send out…
Now I’m working on my own experiment (free way to index profile links) and also test a paid plugin. Will write about it once I have some results.
So mates, stay tuned, I’m still working, just TOO much tedious hard work, but I hope this will pay off in future!
Hi!
This time I’m a bit slow to update the incomes, there are several reasons to this. Anyway, being quiet here means that my workload has increased a lot, due to recent SEO stuff that I’m doing.
I’ve launched several new sites, and more to go soon. I also did a lot of planning, and had to adjust many things.
OK, in this month one of my main sites still didn’t get back to top so it didn’t produce any good income at all. And I rarely checked my stats, thinking that if I make 2000$, that’s good anyway. Well, seems that I’ve mistaken a bit
August 2010 – 4168.05 $
Ok, looks like I cannot write a lot, just have to say that my strategy of diversification across several affiliate networks, offers and products saves me when some major drop happens. Last year, in September 2009, I had 1 good affiliate site and when it was banned by google for no obvious reason, I lost around 50% of my income. The rest was lost after adwords ban. Now I see my site down, and yet my incomes are growing. I’ve simply got several other sites in top 3-5 google now.
Last sites I lauched in the 1st week of August are in top 3 now and getting traffic. Several sites I launched 2 weeks ago, are also growing fast.. There’s some negative side as well – CPA offers are gone, so conversion rates suffer now. I noticed this and now I’m launching several sites for CPA and more sites for more stable offers that are long term. This month I also plan to significantly adjust my backlinking strategy.
Ok, thanks for reading, I hope to update the blog for more hands-on stuff.
08.08.10
Today I was sitting and learning new SEO stuff, and decided to take a step aside and switch my mind. In this month I planned to spend over 500$ running CPA offers with PPV traffic. This amount of money came from my June paid traffic experiments, and I decided to use this income for creating a new branch of my current affiliate business.
I started from learning how to create a PPV landing page in Affportal, but then decided to see what creatives are offered by CPA network, and found one that is great as a PPV lander, and mimics the offer page design etc.
It took me 2 hours to set everything up, there was a huge mess with Prosper202 tracking links, but finally I managed to sort everything out with help of PPV Playbook forum and a bit of good thinking. Once the offer lp and the tracking was completed, I’ve decided to grab URLs to bid on.
Easy way is to just go to Affportal, type in the related keywords and scrape top 10 or more URLs ranking for these keywords. I did this in May, and ended up bidding on over 100 URLs, and there was some competition for many of them. Only 1 or 2 URLs converted consistently, but my ROI wasn’t Ok then, and conversion rate was terrible, even with landing page.
This time, I’ve decided to put some thought into the process and actually find the demographics that could be interested in this offer – I don’t mean just age, income and sex and education level, but more deep analysis. After determining initial URLs, I then manually grabbed 51 URLs where my supposedly targeted demographics should hang on
The campaign was launched in LeadImpact, it took me just 3 minutes. Now I’ll be waiting for the keywords approval and initial results. The daily budget is set to 15$ for now, offer payout is 4.5$. I was happy to see that only 5 or 6 URLs from my list had higher bids, the rest is minimum bid of 0.015$ per impression. That could mean 2 things – either I’m a bit smarter than my competition, or these URLs were tested by other affiliates and there were no offers that fit these URLs, so I made wrong assumptions.
Real test will show how that goes, now I’m switching back to my SEO stuff… so much work here!
09.08.10
Today, according to PPV network, 545 impressions. Prosper202 shows no data, and the CPA offer shows 4 clicks. No leads for this day.
I haven’t checked the performace since I’ve been busy with other work. This is wrong since PPV campaign should be tracked several times a day, competition may outbid some targets, some targets may have huge traffic and eat all the budget etc. 4/545=0.73% CTR of the landing page – really bad! The higher CTR, the more profitable campaign will be.
PPV Spend – 8.6445$
Income – 0$
NET Loss – 8.65$
10.08.10
Today is the second day of my campaign, which I didn’t track eighter. I see huge variety of data between PPV network impressions report, Prosper202 LP visits report, and CPA offer clicks report – or maybe I’m missing something due to lack of experience.
Total impressions (PPV network report) – 1301
Total clicks (Prosper202) – 851
Total clicks (CPA) – 19
PPV spend – 20.27$
Income – 18$ (4 leads)
NET Loss – 1.12$
I’ve just found that my Prosper202 reports are in my local time, and CPA shows stats in EST (New York), so I cannot track everything to the point. These 4 leads are shown in Prosper as of 11.08. More, the keyword-level tracking didn’t work, so I don’t know what URLs were responsible for these leads.
I need to ask questions on forum about tracking issues, and what 851 click in Prosper could mean
11.08.10
Today’s stats are as follows:
Impressions – 905
Clicks – 17 (CTR 1.88%)
Leads – 0
NET Loss – 15.29$
12.08.10
I’ve just updated my bids (made all 51 keywords bids highest) and switched offer to another CPA network with higher payout. Why did that – for this new CPA network I can track exact leads and spends right in the Leadimpact account, thanks to postback pixel installed. So I know what URLs convert for sure.
When I run this offer in May, I found 1 URL that converts consistently, and now I’m not using this URL in this campaign. I want to see how that goes with the new CPA network, at least I can now rely on Prosper202 and Leadimpact, if prosper failes, I will use LI reporting.
Impressions – 888
Clicks – 14 (CTR 1.58%)
Leads – 0
NET Loss – 15.83$
13.08.10
Today I’ve stopped this campaign.
14.08.10
Did nothing with PPV campaigns.
15.08.10
Today I’ve decided to test the trial offer on Leadimpact. I’ve initially planned to direct link to the offer and not put much effort in this, but as I looked at Pop-up preview in Affportal, the offer page didn’t fit into the Leadimpact popup screen.
I’ve created a quick landing page in Affportal landing page builder, and linked it to my aff link. Also went to URL scraper and decided to scrape first 2 pages of URLs for 1 related keyword. Then I created modifications to these URLs in order to get more traffic from these. In Leadimpact I made my bids highest and daily budget set to 30$ (equals to offer payout). THe tracking seems to be installed as well, will see how it works. My cap in case of 0 conversions is 60$ (2 days run).
16.08.10
New targets for trial offer campaign aren’t approved yet.
17.08.10
Same story today – no activity yet.
18.08.10
I’ve lost patience and asked Leadimpact to review my campaign. I also took 13$ lead offer from my CPA network and decided to create direct linking campaigns. Checked the landing page in pop preview on Affportal, and made sure that call to actions are inside the popup screen.
I’ve decided to test 2 strategies with this offer, in MediaTraffic I launched campagin targeting Youtube videos related to my offer, total of 230+ targets. I don’t know if this will convert and if there ‘s any traffic – my bids are minimal at 0.015$ per impression.
Daily budget is 15$ and cap is 1/48 hours.
Then, I decided to implement the 2nd strategy on Leadimpact, and targeted the audience that has potentially could convert for this offer. I took my URLs from Affportal Alexa, Quantcast and Compete URLs database, since these URLs are in top 1 000 000 in Alexa, I hope to see some traffic from them. Total of 25 keywords. Budget is also 15$ and I saw that bids for this kind of promotion are higher – around 0.025$ per impression.
I’m eager to see how that goes, and hope this time prosper202 will work well.
Ok, down to the results:
leadimpact impr – 768
prosper202 – 494 clicks
CPA network – 588 clicks
leads – 0
19-30.08.10
During this period the stats from leadimpact, prosper202 and CPA network messed up, this campaign was a direct link, and I haven’t understood which results are valid. Seems that prosper202 doesn’t track as precise as needed for this sort of traffic. I made 0 leads and stopped this campaign.
total spend (leadimpact) – 45.02$
mediatraffic – 106.50$
17.08.10-30.08.10 – Last campaign this month
I’ll be brief here, after the major fall with 13$ lead campaign that I direct linked, I’ve decided to test the 30$ trial campaign on Leadimpact. I’ve created a landing page and during the17-24 august I targeted URLs. the traffic was tiny so on 25.08 I got my keywords approved (over 900 keywords related to my offer) and as you see that traffic spiked.

Total results for this campaign:
Spend – 53.96$
Income – 90$
Net Profit – 36.04$
Conclusion
Total spend – 332.86$
Total income – 122.40$
Net loss – 210.46$
Considering I was too busy with other projects, and didn’t pay time to PPV campaigns (that resulted in some big loss of 106$ in mediatraffic), still this whole system can be profitable if treated more seriously. I saw loser campaigns, and finally I managed to create a campaign that is in black ink now. It’s worth split-testing landers, uncovering keywords that are bringing ongoin traffic and tie the lander to these keywords, dd more targets and definitely add more and more campaigns.
Next month I’ll not be actively playing with PPV, since it requires more dedication. Currently I’m busy with lots of SEO projects, and cannot spread myself across so many tasks.
Again, with proper tracking, daily monitoring of spend and traffic, it’s possible to test many campaigns and spent 10-40$ to identify campaign potential. Much less than with PPC, where I spent 100$s just to find that campaign is a dud.
If fact, I allocated 500$ to spend on PPV this month. Whatever net result might be. I see some return, which is not bad for some first steps in PPV game. I got a lot of experience (both how to do things, how not to do things) and what is more important, I created several good ideas that are worth testing
Just need more time for this.
Hi mates!
I’ve just decied to give a quick update about my progress. These days I’m working on several areas, including consistent link building and new sites creation.
I’ve been pretty upset to see the major drop in rankings ofone of my main money making sites. Due to this fact, I cannot repeat the previous month’s success and my incomes will be lower (if only I don’t manage to repeat what I did yesterday, read on
)
I’ve created a completely outsourced link building routine, that is now only 1.5 weeks old, and I see a good lift in rankings of my 4 sites that I now consistently backlinking. 2 of the sites are new, and they both jumped from postiions like 50+ or 80+ to the top 10 results.
One of these sites is only 3 weeks old, but it’s ranking on #4 for my main keyword. #2 for my sub-keyword as well, in google.com and .co.uk. Yahoo positions are lower but this is Ok for me. Seems that I made some mistake in determining the traffic volume, since I’m not seeing good traffic for this keyword. Anyway, the product should be pretty popular, so I hope it will spike )
Another site is 4 weeks old, and it’s jumped to #9 from 80+ during the last 1.5 weeks. Still no good traffic on this position, but I have some heavy-weight links to add, so I hope to beat some top boys here and make some good $$$.
As I told, my good old site lost all its rankings, I mean ALL my keywords, except Bing where rankings stayed. I had to switch on my brain and develop a rescue plan for it! Well, as I added some edu backlinks, I see the positions are getting back, but still far from my top old results that made me money every day. google analytics & webmaster tools – now I tend to advoid this more and more. whatever shit happens to my sites, these sites got analytics installed on them… strange ?
My second site (very tough keyword) also disappeared from top 1000 google suddenly! I spent tons of time to get this ranked and all I got was position 64 for my keyword. Top. Yesterday I accidentally found a PR9 backlink and point it to my site. In several hours the sandbox ended for my site
Now it’s on position 53, not bad. I need some more PR9 links, seems this is a good cure for all these sudden drops.
Now working a lot on my further experiments, I now look into learning as much as I can about increasing the indexing rate of backlinks. I know there’s some soft and plugins that can do it, just need to dive into this and develop some easy system based on the principles of this paid soft.
My PPV stuff resides in the draft, not much activity here since ppv traffic provider is very slow in approving keywords, so I’m not active here. Hope September will be a good month – need to get my sites back to top fast.
Btw, now for this month I see at least 50$ a day from SEO consistently, daily. Sometimes over 100$, but in general it’s 30-60$. I had no 0 income days in the last 2 weeks. The key is diversifying – building more sites and ranking them in top 10 – top 5. I’m now using the strategies that I shared in previous posts, nothing new yet (but developing a further advanced SEO expertise now).
This month seems to start with the same slowdown as the July, sales are coming in bunches or sometimes I see no sales at all during several days (I mean separate affiliate programs, not overall sales).
As I’m having several sites now with different affiliate programs, this diversification makes my daily income pretty consistent- averaging 100$ now, today I’ve already made 194$, will see if I can jump to 300$ again ) I’m a bit upset to see that my main aff program is “sleeping” now, if the niche were a bit more active, I could count on 200$-500$ days…
Anyway, I’m now actively working on several projects, launched new CPA site several days ago and made press release blast. No leads yet, however seems that press release helped it to climb to #7 for 2 word keyword, and today I already see it on position 83 for main keyword. I’ve also started profile links today, 15-20 total and considering not all profiles are successful, got 13 fresh profile links today. I’ve pinged them and will create RSS feed and submit it for better indexing.
I’m also working now on my new experiment, paid traffic again. This time I’ve allocated specific amount to spend, and will not repeat the June mistake of not capping the spend. I’m currently running a draft post with daily updates, and I think you will see it by the end of month.
Another concept that I developed now after analysing my current business (I’m doing this monthly) is what I call “smart reinvesting” – this deserves a separate post, now I cannot write it – too many serious tasks and I’ve finally been affected by this wierd weather change – sleeping 3-4 hours a day was not good for my nervous system plus I worked like crazy, and recently felt worse… Now working less. Anyway, this concept is really interesting and can make some difference in gorwing the affiliate business in a diversified way – to survive and grow online.
Also I’m working on creating small system – automation of tasks that can be outsourced and automated. Doingeverything myself is really distracting! backlinks, tracking content delivery to different sites, analysing and learning new stuff in SEO, PPV, planning etc….this all cannot exist in one head )) So I want to delegate several most results-driven SEO routines to freelancers, and concentrate on more advanced stuff.
Forgot to mention – today I’ve put the first stone into the “SEO edge” over competition…this requires some time and money investment, but I will try to make it work for higher competitive keywords that cannot be dominated fast with standard backlinking methods like article marketing, profile links, blog commenting etc…
I can give really good advice mates – always analyse those who dominate google, any niche – no matter! That’s where REAL SEO is, not on the sales pages of another article network, seo course and similar stuff… Don’t listen to these never-ending debates like “whether dupe content is bad or OK”, or “the good keywords should have less 30000 in-quotes competition and top 10 sites are under 50 (100, 1000, xxxxx) backlinks indexed” – test for yourself and see what really works. To be frank, knowing SEO basics is enough to understand what is going on – such ebooks like SEO Made Easy or Jon Ledger’s SEO ebook give basics, the rest is hidden in top 10! Just need to analyse and think a little bit…
OK, that’s it for now, time to have small rest and work on! Stay tuned mates, I hope this month will be a bit better than previous one, I’m over 1000$ in income already, but hope to jump to 3000$ net at least.
July started as a pretty slow month – vacations, heat etc, and during the first 2 weeks I didn’t do much work, except for learning new stuff and finding new SEO strategies.I didn’t expect the boost in the recent week, but anyway, it’s great.
Unfortunately, my 500$ days are not consistent, these are just lucky days when all the niches start to convert higher then average. But what worth mentioning is as I kept building new sites, my highest income jumped from 300$-days to 500$ days, and average daily commisssions are around 30-100$.
Let’s now get down to the actual monthly earnings:
July 2010 – 4133,70$
That’s what I expected in September, but not in July )) Ok, in this month I didn’t launch any paid traffic campaigns, and this income is all free traffic from search engines.
1 clickbank sniper – 101,57$, 3 sales and 4th sale was refunded. This was the 3rd site that I pushed to top 1 with my high PR backlinks. I have to say that if the competition keeps pushing the same keyword, it’s worth doing consistently, as later the site may drop a bit letting more agressive buddies take higher positions.
1st product sniper – the site was somewhere on page 10 or so, but since it was making me good money in top 3, I’ve experimented with high PR backlinks and managed to get it back to top 1 and this site is responsible for making me over 700$ in leads. Now my own Ezinearticle outranked it and took position 1, so the leads are slower (( Bad, really? Why, I prefer to find new opportunities in failed situations, so I decided to test some new idea that come to my mind!
2nd product sniper – I got the site back from #14 to #1 in google and yahoo, it made only 1 sale of 49$.
Authority site – I stopped my case study since the traffic volume appeared to be much lower than google KWTool predicted. The site generated 164,93$ – 4 sales with a good 7% conversion rate. If I managed to get at least 25% of the prodicted 9900 visitors per month, and convert them at 7% CR, I could make around 170 sales and over 5000$ in income. But thanks to google keyword tool, it never happened.
My local SEO site – that new baby rocked and made me 31 sale and 261,34$ in commissions (avg commission is lower than 10$ ) . This is my best result for a brand new site ever. The conversion rate is around 14,3%.
And my last baby, the most successful in this month,…
What I can say here… Despite the incredibly low conversion rate, this site generated 640$ and around 22 leads. All from free google and yahoo traffic.
In the last month, I promoted several offers from Azoogle with paid traffic, my CPA site was in the middle of page 1 and the traffic was lower. The stats:
Clicks total – 2839, leads total – 32, income total – 547$, spend total – 863,46$, profit total – -316,46$. This is thanks to several leads from SE traffic, as the net loss could be even higher.
Now this month stats, clicks total – 2232, leads total – 23, income total – 652$, spend total – 0$, profil total – 652$. All the traffic was search engines. SEO rocks !
If the offer was still OK and conversion rate were not 1,03% and, say, 5%, I could generate around 111 leads and over 3000$ net profit from this one site alone! Ehhh, let’s consider my 1st attempt at SEO to CPA as a moderate success ).
OK mates, I now need to adjust my current business and think of some ways to go further, plan things out and sort out some issues, so I’m shutting down for today…
Grand
Hi mates!
Yeah while my gmail keeps being bombarded with a new hot launch (Affilojetpack I believe), I keep working on my current SEO projects and studying a lot of new stuff.
In the last several days I saw some dramatic increase in buying activity, but I didn’t pay attemtion to HOW MUCH I’M MAKING
I’ve just decided to calculate my earnings (all from organic traffic) for 26.07 and was shocked to see that my total income across all affiliate networks was crazy high:
Aff program 1 – 343.85$
Aff program 2 – 60$
Azoogle CPA site – 116$
Local SEO Site (4 weeks old) – 15.46$
Total – 535.31$
Again, this is all pure profit since I’m not currently running any paid traffic. Truely, diversification is a key – the more income streams we create, the more gross income we see.
Keep working mates and the month ends soon, time to see how much we made in this extremely slow and hot month.
